DEVELOPING STORY: Two Car Crash at Route 130 and Market Street Intersection Snarls Traffic

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (March 19, 2019)(CNBNewsnet)—A two car crash at Route 130 and Market Street today snarled traffic for over an hour. A person who was caught in the traffic jam said it appeared to her that both cars were destroyed. " As I drove by the accident I noticed a number of police officers directing traffic. There was glass and car parts from the accident spewed all about the highway. The traffic light hanging across Route 130 at the intersection was broken and hanging by a wire. Looky Lou's added to the traffic delay."

According to Lt. Steve Burkhardt, spokes person for the Gloucester City Police Department, "There was a crash involving two vehicles on Rt. 130 south at Market Street at 2:37 PM. Both drivers were injured and transported to area hospital for treatment.  There were no passengers in either of the vehicles, and the crash is still under investigation.  No arrests and no charges were filed at this time." | March 19, 2019
