Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Participates in “Read Across America” Week

Bergen County, N.J. – Over the last week, members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office visited fourteen public elementary schools across the county to participate in “Read Across America” week as part of Sheriff Anthony Cureton’s ongoing effort to continue strengthening ties between the community and law enforcement.

“Read Across America” is an annual reading motivation and awareness program organized by the National Education Association that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, 2019, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.

“Read Across America is a great opportunity for our officers to make positive connections with Bergen County’s future while promoting a love for literacy” said Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

Participants included Sheriff Anthony Cureton, Executive Undersheriff Vincent Quatrone, Undersheriff David Borzotta, Undersheriff Jin Sung Kim, Chief Warrant Officer Taylor, and members of the BCSO Community Outreach Unit.

Representatives from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office visited the following schools:
