Elmer, New Jersey – Appel Farm Arts and Music Campus welcomes girls grade 2-5 to explore their creativity, learn new artistic skills, and earn badges at Crafty Campout April 5-6 & 6-7, 2019.

Appel Farm will work with local Girl Scout troops on transformative arts and learning experiences to help build girls of courage, confidence and character. Brownies and Juniors are invited for a weekend filled with creative activities that help them earn badges while encouraging critical thinking and skill building.

The engaging curriculum is designed to teach girls about science, the environment and social issues through workshops in the visual and performing arts and to help Girl Scouts earn up to 5 badges. Participants can choose to stay one night to earn two badges or two nights to earn five badges.

“A weekend like this gathers together many of the values and critical thinking points I strive to shine a light on for my daughters. You give them what I can't by making it happen as part of a sisterhood that crosses cultures and generations.” - A Junior Girl Scout Troop Leader about this event in 2016

In addition to Girl Scouts, this weekend is open for all girls grade 2-5 to attend. This overnight camping opportunity gives girls have the opportunity to meet other girls from around the tri-state region in a supportive and safe environment that fosters community and  personal growth.

Crafty Campout offers multiple pricing options. For one night, the cost is $75 per scout and $35 per chaperone. For two nights, the cost is $150 per scout and $70 per chaperone. Day passes will also be available.
