John Wills of Wrightstown Sentenced to 20 Years for Sexual Assault of a Juvenile

WRIGHTSTOWN NJ (February 22, 2019)--Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced that a 22-year-old Wrightstown man was sentenced today to 20 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a young girl in 2017.
Under the sentence handed down in Superior Court by the Hon. Philip E. Haines, J.S.C., John Wills, 22, of the 100 block of Cookstown-New Egypt Road, Wrightstown must serve the entire term before becoming eligible for parole.
Wills pled guilty in November to Aggravated Sexual Assault (First Degree). The assault occurred at the home of a mutual acquaintance in North Hanover. After assaulting the victim, who was under 10 years of age, Wills walked her home and told her not to discuss what had happened.
“The abuse endured by this young victim is heartbreaking,” Prosecutor Coffina said. “We pray that she develops strength and resiliency as she matures and is able to live a happy life, and hope that this outcome can contribute toward that process.”
Wills will serve his sentence at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Woodbridge, Middlesex County. The facility, which houses sex offenders, is jointly operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections and the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
Wills was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the Special Victims Section of the BCPO Major Crimes Unit. The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office and the North Hanover Township Police Department. The lead investigator was BCPO Detective Matt Delgado.
