The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Camden Announces Annual Fashion Show to be held May 16th at the Marian House, Cherry Hill
(Camden, NJ – February 25, 2019) – The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Camden recently named Angela Barnshaw of Cherry Hill as the committee chair for its 4th Annual Garbage Bag Gala Fashion Show, which will be held on May 16 at the Marian House in Cherry Hill.
The Garbage Bag Gala is an annual fashion extravaganza hosted by The Salvation Army where professional and novice designers take recycled and unconventional materials to create beautiful fashions to be displayed on the runway.
Barnshaw is the founder, CEO and Broker of Record for Agent06, an exclusive concierge real estate agency in Haddonfield that serves the Philadelphia Flyers and other major corporations in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Barnshaw is no stranger to The Salvation Army. Prior to launching Agent06, Barnshaw founded the South Jersey Young Professionals Association (SJYPA), the region’s largest and most influential group of charitable professionals, which helped fund and construct the Kroc Center in Camden. She also served on The Salvation Army’s Advisory Board from 2007 to 2014. Barnshaw is currently working to launch the National Association of Charitable Young Professionals (NACYP), and has won several community leadership awards, including Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Southern New Jersey Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and a variety of real estate sales and service awards. She resides in Cherry Hill with her husband and two children.
“I feel The Salvation Army is the most effective charity in America,” says Barnshaw. “Any chance I get to help them, I take it. I hope to make the Garbage Bag Gala the marquee event of the year for fashion enthusiasts in South Jersey.”
Attendees of this year’s Garbage Bag Gala on May 16 are invited to a pre-show reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. The fashion show will then begin promptly at 8 p.m. following the reception and will be emceed by Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia Co-Anchor Thomas Drayton. All funds raised from this year’s Garbage Bag Gala will benefit women and family programs at the Kroc Center.
