The Camden County Historical Society has been conducting a study of the Battle of Gloucester which took place in November 1777. At the time, Gloucester Town was occupied by nearly 6,000 British and Hessian troops supported by vessels of the Royal Navy on the Delaware River.

Professional historian Garry Wheeler Stone, PhD. will provide an overview of the skirmish along with maps outlining who owned the properties in Gloucester Town and the suburbs at that time. This will be in the form of a Power Point presentation.
