GLOUCESTER CITY,NJ (January 5, 2019)(CNBNewnet)--Hoagie Heaven, located at the intersection of Broadway and Hunter Street, has closed down. Owner Pete Prelas said after 21 years he decided to shutdown his business and enjoy his retirement.

Prelas said he was unable to sell his hoagie business but did sell the building along with the property to someone who plans on opening a fast food eatery.

"I like to thank my customers, friends and family for supporting me all these years. We opened in 1997. Twenty-one years is long time. Looking back I can't believe how fast the time flew by.  I enjoyed serving the people of Gloucester City and the surrounding communities. "
