Gloucester Township, New Jersey — Gloucester Township’s Mayor David R. Mayer and Township Screen Shot 2018-11-22 at 11.39.52Council will be hosting the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 9th at Veterans Park.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is one of the most highly anticipated holiday events of the year where hundreds of community members come together and get into the holiday spirit. This year enjoy the tradition bigger and better than ever! The fun starts at 1:00 pm when the amusement rides open, followed by pony rides, sleigh rides, food trucks, Christmas carols, and more. Don’t worry about missing the Eagles game - the Gloucester Township Police Department will be showing the game on the big screen!

This year we have a special guest lighting the tree. Gloucester Township’s very own Little Miss Wheelchair, Makayla Dempsey, will do the honors. Makayla is an 8th grade student from Ann A. Mullen Middle School and was crowned the first Little Miss Wheelchair of New Jersey this year.

Come celebrate this holiday tradition with Mayor David Mayer, Council and the residents of Gloucester Township! Timeline:
