Gloucester City Police Made 337 Calls Over the Past Week

 

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (December 15, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)--Gloucester City Police between December 7 and December 13, made (40) traffic stops and (168) property/business checks. Screen Shot 2017-01-06 at 12.59.15 Officers made (15) arrests, responded to (12) domestic disputes, and managed (337) calls for service.

In other matters, 

 

12/7 (12:09 am) An investigation into a suspicious occupied vehicle parked at the Citgo lot on Broadway conducted by Cpl. Bill Lessig resulted with the arrests of two individuals.  Edward Weatherly (22), a resident of National Park and Maddison D. Mecca (20), a resident of Bellmawr, were both charged with possession of CDS (prescription medication) and released.

 

12/7 (8:18 am) Ptl. Bob Saunders III was called to Broadway at King St. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/7 (9:16 am) A resident of the 100 block of N. Broadway reported sometime between 8:40 and 9:16 am a bicycle was stolen from the rear yard.  The gate to the yard was left open and the resident’s dog was found missing from the yard as well.  The dog is a white bull dog with a spike collar.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/7 (7:11 pm) Officers responded to the CVS on S. Broadway for a reported shoplifting.  Upon arrival, it was determined that a male brought $83.33 worth of merchandise up to the counter, gave the clerk $.42 and fled from the store with the merchandise.  Video surveillance footage of the male was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

 

12/7 (10:23 pm) A traffic stop on Mercer St. at Railroad Ave. conducted by Ptl. Blaise O’Donnell and K9 Demo resulted with the arrest of the driver, Wilfred A. Arce (45), a resident of Camden.  He was arrested on warrants from Glassboro and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was released on bail.

 

12/8 (9:41 am) Ptl. Bob Saunders III was called to the 900 block of Bergen St. for a hit and run crash involving a parked vehicle sometime overnight.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/8 (12:16 pm) A resident of Lambert Ave. reported sometime overnight, his Christmas decorations were damaged.

 

12/8 (9:15 pm) Ptl. Blaise O’Donnell and K9 Demo were called to N. Stinson Ave. for a hit and run crash involving a parked car.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/8 (9:22 pm) Sgt. Jim Little was called to Rt. 130 at Market St, for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/9 (6:15 am) A resident of Elmwood Ave. reported sometime overnight, her vehicle was stolen from in front of her residence.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/9 (12:36 pm) Ptl. Bob Saunders III was dispatched to the Gloucester City Marina parking lot on King St. for a report of a male in a vehicle having a convulsion.  Upon arrival, the male was found passed out across the center console of the vehicle.  The male did wake up and was evaluated by EMS personnel.  Further investigation led to the arrest of the male, Daniel P. Quinlan (57), a resident of Westville.  He was charged with possession of CDS (heroin, crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy) and possession of drug paraphernalia before being released.

 

12/10 (11:04 am) Ptl. Don Fager III was called to Rt. 130 at Market St. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/11 (6:59 am) Cpl. Bill Lessig was called to Rt. 130 at Market St. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/11 (1:34 pm) Turquoise Carterwood (25), a resident of Camden, was arrested at the Budget Inn on Rt. 130 by Ptl. George Spingler for engaging in prostitution.  She was later released.

 

12/11 (4:30 pm) Maria L. Gomez (36), a resident of Vineland, was arrested at the Budget Inn on Rt. 130 by Ptl. Sean Saunders for engaging in prostitution.  She was later released.

 

12/11 (7:15 pm) Aspen L. Baker (34), a resident of Camden, was arrested in the parking lot of O’Donnell’s Restaurant on N. Broadway by Ptl. George Spingler for engaging in prostitution.  She was later released.

12/12 (8:55 am) A resident of the 100 block of S. Burlington St. reported sometime overnight, his bicycle was stolen from his yard.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/12 (4:02 pm) Ofc. Brittany Pollander was called to Market Street at Walnut for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/13 (10:21 am) A resident of the 200 block of Salem St. reported a generator was stolen off of his trailer.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

12/13 (10:54 am) A traffic stop on Collings Ave. at Essex St. conducted by Ptl. George Spingler and Ptl. Sean Saunders resulted with the arrests of two individuals.  Wilfred A. Arce (45), a resident of Camden, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released.  Teshanda L. Grant (35), a resident of the 500 block of Middlesex St. was arrested on a warrant from Berlin Twp. and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was released on bail.

 

12/13 (5:13 pm) Ptl. Will DeFoney was called to Rt. 130 at Market St. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

12/13 (8:39 pm) Ptl. Will DeFoney responded to Gormley’s Auto on Rt. 130 for a report of a stolen vehicle.  Upon arrival, an employee reported a vehicle was stolen off of the lot, last seen traveling south on Rt. 130.  The investigation is ongoing.
