ways to defend yourself. From keeping yourself prepared when out alone to knowing how to defend yourself and what to use, these rules will help in any campus. Don’t just arm yourself with a knife or stun gun, learn how to use them and how to avoid getting into a situation where they are needed. If you or a loved one are heading off to college, keep in mind these simple rules.

1.Keep off your phone

The first step to avoid trouble is to be aware of your surroundings and stay off your phone. In the modern world of college campuses it is hard to look around and not see someone staring at their phone screen unaware of what is going on around them. Especially when walking alone or at night, stay off the screen as it makes you more vulnerable to being attacked as well as increasing the chance of other dangers such as cars.

Bellmawr's Allison MacLean Selected for Induction into Emerson College's Purple Key Leadership

The School District of Philadelphia (SDP) has 43 schools identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) and 17 schools identified for Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (A-TSI). CSI and A-TSI schools will receive targeted support and/or support from a school improvement team specializing in the subject areas identified for improvement.

National Society of Leadership and Success Inducts more than 170 Kutztown University Students

Maryland Fishing Report: 2018 Striper Season Ending

This will be our last fishing report for 2018, but we will return in mid-January with a report on winter fishing activities and some news about upcoming outdoor shows.

The 2018 striped bass season closes Dec. 15. The season ends a few days earlier than last year, as part of the conservation-minded regulations that included reducing the minimum length for Chesapeake Bay rockfish to 19 inches. The Potomac River below the Woodrow Wilson Bridge will be open to striped bass fishing until Dec. 31. Our readers should also keep in mind that there are other species that will still be in season for die hard cold-weather anglers.

Willingboro Man Sentenced to 70 Years for Kidnapping, Attempted Murder and Other Charges

CAMDEN CITY, NJ--Today, December 12, 2018, Andre Wesley, 32, of Willingboro, was sentenced to 70 years in New Jersey State Prison by the Honorable Judge Gwendolyn Blue of the New Jersey Superior Court. Wesley is required to serve at least 59 years and 6 months of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

Wesley is also subject to the full penalties of Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life.
