Free LaGuardia Link Q70 service provides convenient connection for travelers to New York City MTA subway and Long Island Railroad
The Port Authority and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will offer free LaGuardia Link Q70 buses from 12:01 a.m. Friday, November 9, through 11:59 p.m. Monday, November 12.
The service is designed to encourage travelers to use mass transit to and from the airport during Veterans Day weekend.
The Q70 provides non-stop service which connects the airport’s main terminals (B, C and D) with the New York City subway and Long Island Railroad transit hubs in Jackson Heights and Woodside, Queens.
Additionally, the M60 Select Bus Service will continue to provide service from Manhattan to Terminal A on its route for both pick-ups and drop-offs, while continuing its current service to Terminals B, C and D.
A high volume of traffic is expected for the weekend, and travelers are urged to use public transportation.
Travelers are urged to contact their carriers on flight status and access updated traffic information prior to leaving for the airport, while allowing extra time to get to and from the airport prior to their flight. The Port Authority has established an onsite Traffic Command Center to monitor and manage airport traffic conditions. These conditions are communicated through regular updates via @LGAairport on Twitter and LaGuardiaAirport.com. Additional tips for passengers and motorists can be found on the airport’s website at http://laguardiaairport.com/at-airport/tips.
