The Endangered and Nongame Species Program is offering a new round of Conserve Wildlife Matching Grants for projects that advance endangered, threatened, and nongame wildlife conservation in New Jersey. These grants are funded by the renewal fees from our Conserve Wildlife License Plates. Nonprofit 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations are eligible to apply.

Conserve Wildlife Grants

Awards can range from $1,000-$3,500 and must be matched 50/50. Eligible projects will benefit New Jersey’s endangered, threatened, and nongame wildlife through education, outreach, research, species protection, or habitat management. Past projects have included pollinator habitat plantings, bird migration studies, invasive species control, citizen science projects, and a broad range of others. Projects should help to address an important threat or action highlighted in the State Wildlife Action Plan.

The deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. Friday, December 14. Please visit the Conserve Wildlife Matching Grant Program page for all the details and proposal guidelines.
