Camden CITY, NJ (November 15, 2018)(CNBNewsnet) – On November 15, 2018, the Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (HFC) will host the Behind the Smoke: Truth about Synthetic Cannabinoids Community Forum from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The free community event will be held at the KROC Salvation Army Center at 1865 Harrison Avenuein Camden CITY, New Jersey.
In 2015, the NJ Poison Information and Education System issued an alert to warn people about the dangerous, man-made drug and anything going by the street names “spice” or “K2.” Since then the use of synthetic cannabinoids has become an epidemic amongst youth and young adults. HFC recognizes this epidemic and wants to lead the discussion on how we as a community can promote prevention, increase access to treatment and support the recovery process for this struggling population.
