WHAT: The Gloucester City Library is looking for creative minds to design and implement a beautification of our Corner Garden! We’re looking for residents to design a layout for the Garden. Once designs are submitted, the library’s Board of Trustees will vote on a winning design. After a design is chosen, the public will have a chance to get hands on with the project and actually implement the design.
Garden designs include the following: drawings/pictures/illustrations, supply and materials list and estimated cost of those materials, as well as an estimated number of volunteers needed to implement design.
WHERE: Gloucester City Library Corner Garden – 50 N. Railroad Ave. Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Corner garden is located on Bergen Street side of the building.
WHEN: Design submissions are due on or before Friday, October 19th. Must submit to Elise Labbree via email at email@example.com. Once a design is chosen by the Board, it will be announced here on our Facebook page, our website, and in the Gloucester City News. The public will then execute the design and beautify the garden!
WHY: Our Corner Garden currently only consists of one picnic table, and one large tree. The newly designed garden will be a place for our patrons to enjoy. Weather permitting, programs such as Tiny Tots Storytime and Crafternoon will be able to use the garden for their enjoyment!
