MOUNT HOLLY (October 30,2018)--— Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced today that a Beverly City resident has been convicted for fatally shooting a man on a Florence street two years ago.
Anthony M. Harris, (photo) age 32, of the 100 block of Broad Street, was found guilty of first-degree aggravated manslaughter and two weapons offenses before Superior Court Judge Charles Delehey at the Burlington County Courthouse in Mount Holly. A third weapons offense was dismissed by the state.
The jury found Harris guilty of fatally shooting Ronald Walker on Sept. 21, 2016, during a fight between a group of residents from Beverly and Florence. Witnesses have indicated Walker was not the intended target, authorities said.
Harris was arrested in May 2017 in Falls, Pennsylvania, during a warrant enforcement operation by multiple law enforcement agencies. Following an investigation, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office charged Harris with Walker’s murder, for which he has twice been tried.
