GCPD Crime Report: Gloucester City Police Respond to 12 Traffic Accidents and 4 OD Calls

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (September 14,2018)(CNBNewsnet)--Gloucester City Police over the past week responded to (30) traffic stops, (198) property/business checks and (13) school visits.  Officers made (15) arrests, responded to (11) domestic disputes, impounded (1) abandoned vehicle and managed (302) calls for service between September 7 and September 13. During the same period officers were called to 12 traffic accidents. Also included in that time period were four calls for people who overdosed. 

A detail breakdown of those incidents and others appears below. 

 

9/7 (3:57 pm) Ptl. Sean Gartland was called to Market Street at Walnut Ave. for a crash involving two vehicles.  Two injuries were reported.

 

9/7 (4:45 pm) Ptl. Sean Gartland responded to a residence in the 100 block of N. Broadway for a reported overdose.  Upon arrival, the (41) year old male Gloucester City resident was found unconscious and not breathing.  Ptl. Gartland administered one dose of Naloxone and the male regained consciousness.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

 

9/7 (7:22 pm) Cpl. Bill Lessig was called to Rt. 130 at Market Street for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/7 (8:38 pm) Ptl. Don Fager III responded to the Royal Farms on Rt. 130 for a reported overdose.  Upon arrival, the (51) year old female resident of Pine Hill was found in the restroom, unconscious and not breathing.  EMS personnel administered two doses of Naloxone and the female regained consciousness.  She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

 

9/7 (8:56 pm) Ptl. George Spingler responded to the Royal Farms on Rt. 130 for a reported overdose.  Upon arrival, the (32) year old male resident of Bellmawr was found in a vehicle, unconscious and not breathing.  Ptl. Spingler administered one dose of Naloxone and Sgt. Bill Eller administered a second dose before the male regained consciousness.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

 

9/8 (7:47 am) Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz responded to Highland Blvd. at Greenwood Ave. for a reported crash and one of the drivers had fled the scene.  Upon arrival, officers searched the area and located the fleeing driver and vehicle, which had become disabled, on Klemm Ave.  Further investigation resulted with the arrest of the driver, Amber DiGiacomo (27), a resident of Chestnut Ave.  She was charged with D.W.I (.15% b.a.c.) and leaving the scene of an accident.  She was later released to a friend.

 

9/8 (7:21 pm) David A. Klawitter (35), a resident of Haddon Twp., was arrested on Broadway at Morris Street by Ptl. Don Fager III on a warrant from Camden City.  He was released on bail.

 

9/8 (10:02 pm) A traffic stop on Rt. 130 at Market Street conducted by Ptl. George Spingler resulted with the arrest of Dwayne C. Gibson (39), a resident of Florence.  He was arrested on a warrant from Mt. Laurel and turned over to Mt. Laurel Police.

 

9/9 (12:12 am) Cpl. Bill Lessig was called to Beechwood Avenue for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/9 (1:05 am) Ptl. Don Fager III was called to Rt. 130 at Market Street for a crash involving two vehicles.  Two injuries were reported.

 

9/9 (5:30 am) Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz responded to Monroeville to assist Elk Twp. Police with tracking a child endangerment suspect in a wooded area.

 

9/9 (1:27 pm) Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz were called to the 100 block of S. Broadway for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/10 (8:00 am) A resident of West Deptford reported his truck was burglarized while parked on Brick Street and numerous tools were stolen.  Video surveillance of the burglary has been obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

 

9/10 (8:58 am) Ptl. Brittany Pollander responded to a commercial property in the 700 block of Charles Street for a reported found burglary.  Tools were reported stolen and the investigation is ongoing.

 

9/10 (9:30 am) Ptl. Bob Saunders III was called to the 1300 block of Market Street for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/10 (2:50 pm) Ptl. Joe Eller was called to Market Street at Walnut Ave. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/11 (2:26am) Ptl. Greg Coxe responded to a residence in the 600 block of N. Brown Street for a reported overdose.  Upon arrival, the (27) year old male resident of Newfield was found unconscious and not breathing.  Ptl. Coxe administered one dose of Naloxone and the male regained consciousness.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

 

9/11 (4:40 pm) Shawn Wilcox (37), a resident of Baynes Ave. was arrested on Broadway at Mercer Street by Ptl. Will DeFoney and Ptl. Sean Saunders on a warrant from Camden City.  He was released on bail.

 

9/11 (5:33 pm) John Angelucci (56), a resident of Deptford Twp., was arrested on Broadway at Monmouth Street by Sgt. Jim Little on a warrant from Deptford Twp.  He was released on bail.

 

9/12 (2:09 pm) A traffic stop on Essex Street at Collings Ave. conducted by Ptl. Johanna James and Ptl. Sean Saunders resulted with the arrest of Julia L. Fisher (34), a resident of Camden.  She was arrested on warrants from Stratford, Camden City and Pennsauken and released on bail.

 

9/12 (5:34 pm) Ptl. Don Fager III was called to Essex Street at Collings Ave. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/13 (8:06 am) Ptl. Mike Clazonetti and K9 Blitz responded to the Rodeway Inn on Rt. 130 for a report of a disorderly female in the lobby.  Further investigation led to the arrests of two individuals:  Katie L. Foster (22), a resident of Bellmawr, was arrested on warrants from Franklinville, Oaklyn and Bellmawr.  She was additionally charged with possession of CDS (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, hindering apprehension and possession of a hypodermic syringe.  Randi L. Contravo (24), a resident of the 800 block of Cumberland Street, was arrested on a warrant from Gloucester City and additionally charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe.  Both were released on bail.

 

9/13 (1:46 pm) While on patrol, Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz observed two individuals trespassing on private property owned by Conrail near Lane Avenue.  Further investigation led to the arrest of both individuals.  Thomas Marcheski (45), a resident of Camden, was charged with defiant trespass and released.  Robin M. Allen (34), a resident of the 300 block of Hunter Street, was charged with defiant trespass and found to have a warrant from Brooklawn.  She was released on bail.

 

9/13 (2:17 pm) Ptl. Sean Gartland was called to Holt Logistics for a hit and run crash.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/13 (5:05 pm) Ptl. Johanna James and Ptl. Sean Saunders were called to Rt. 130 at Klemm Ave. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

9/14 (12:42 am) Sgt. Eller was called to Rt.130 at Klemm Avenue for a report of a light pole down in the roadway.  Upon arrival, it was determined a vehicle had struck the light pole and fled from the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.
