Camden City Resident Dezmenn Warren Charged with Murder

CAMDEN CITY, NJ (September 27,2018)(CNBNewsnet)--Dezmenn Warren, 30, of Camden City, was charged in a fatal shooting that killed Donte Brown on September 18, 2018.

Camden County Police were flagged down on Tuesday morning and told that a man had been shot. Police found the victim, Donte Brown, on the intersection of Ferry Avenue and Kossuth Street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. During the investigation, detectives learned that Dezmenn Warren had been in the area at the time of the shooting and allegedly shot at Donte Brown.

Dezmenn Warren was charged with first degree Murder on September 26, 2018, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson.

Dezmenn Warren was taken into custody yesterday afternoon at the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office without incident. He was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. Under Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order he be detained or released with conditions.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
