It was an afternoon of excitement on Saturday, August 25th, when famed health expert and TV star Dr. Oz came to the Cherry Hill Mall to speak before an audience of hundreds at his Health & Wellness Expo!
Jefferson Health, the exclusive healthcare sponsor for the Cherry Hill Mall, was a presenting sponsor for the expo, which drew an enthusiastic crowd to the Mall’s center court.
Sharing the stage with the personable Dr. Oz were two of our own Jefferson Health physicians, Dr. Kay Yoon-Flannery and Dr. Greg T
aylor, who spoke on the topics of breast care (Dr. Yoon-Flannery) and pain management (Dr. Taylor) during a 30-minute panel discussion moderated by Fox 29’s Lucy Noland.
Various demonstrations and presentations focusing on weight and bariatric surgery, CPR, healthy eating, yoga, and sports injuries were offered by Jefferson Health providers to help community members learn how they can improve their health and well-being.
Participants could also receive free blood pressure screenings, while youngsters enjoyed Jefferson’s free Teddy Bear Clinic.
This event was a huge success. We couldn’t have done it without our Jefferson Health associates, who came out to share their talent and commitment to the community at this memorable event.
