NEWFIELD HOUSE EXPLOSION FINDINGS RELEASED

(NEWFIELD NJ)(July 13, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)--The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, the county Fire Marshal, and the county Medical Examiner’s Office have made findings about the cause and origin of a July 7 explosion in a house in Newfield, NJ and the deaths of a husband and wife in the house at the time.

The cause of the explosion was found by the Fire Marshal to be natural gas and the origin has been listed as undetermined due to numerous possible sources of ignition.

The cause of death of Carole Paladino (DOB 5/16/46) was found by the Medical Examiner to be multiple blunt trauma and the manner of death was determined to be accidental. The cause of death of John Paladino (DOB 8/7/44) was found to be blast and thermal injuries and the manner of death was reported to be accidental.

The Prosecutor’s Office has found no evidence of foul play in the explosion and fire that destroyed the house at 329 Oakwood Drive.
