5cRXRoAMiGLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (July 28, 2018)--On Saturday, September 29, prepare to be involved, entertained, and amazed at the 10th Annual Riverfront Arts and Music Festival at Proprietor's Park, King Street and Jersey Avenue at the Delaware River.

This volunteer event offers the opportunity for artistic craftsmen and culinary adventurers to sell their wares to the crowds that have attended the event in past years. But this event cannot happen without YOU!

"If you are a jewelry maker, candle or soap maker, quilter, henna artist, fortune-teller, chair masseuse, pet rescue, or artist of any medium and would like to sell your wares please call me," said award-winning artist Mary Lou Adams.

Mary Lou is the founder of the Gloucester City Cultural Arts and Heritage Society and the organizer of the festival. Please contact her at 856.456.1462 or email her at gcarts2u@yahoo.com for an entry form. Spaces are only $20!

"If you own a food truck and would like to strut your culinary skills the entry fee is $40. We encourage food trucks specializing in Philly flavors, Latin foods, and any other foods that will give us a taste of cultures around the world!" she added. "And Michael Soll, owner of RiverPark Pub and a community activist, has tentatively made plans to offer a beer garden-type tent for adults. Research is on-going but will be officially announced once Michael gets the appropriate permits."

Set up for vendors is between 9AM and 10:30AM. No vehicles will be allowed to drive through the park after 11AM.

Volunteers are needed to cover the park from 1PM until 5PM, answering questions, cleaning up, and offering assistance to both visitors and vendors.

Many musicians will be showcasing their talents at this event and will play until 10PM.

Spaces will be assigned by festival volunteers. All vendor spaces will be four feet away from the next vendor.

"In addition to vendors and music the festival will have its first pie baking contest! For a fee of $5.00 (to enter) your pie could win a first, second, or third prize ribbon, a gift certificate to Carr's Hardware, and bragging rights as the finest pie baker in the area! In addition, the winner will be announced here and in the local paper," stated Dawn Watson, one of the festival volunteers.

Please call or text Dawn Watson at 856.981.8957 for the rules governing the entry into the contest and to enroll your pie.
