MAPLE SHADE NJ (JUNE 28, 2018)(CNBNewsnetThe Township of Maple Shade Civic Activities Committee will host the 4th of July Parade and Fireworks on Saturday June 30, 2018.

Main Street , AKA County Route 537, will be closed for the parade from approx. 1100 AM to 300 PM. Front Street is the detour route.

South Clinton Avenue between South Coles Avenue and Frederick Avenue and Martin Avenue between West Center Avenue and South Coles Avenue will be closed from approx. 600 PM to 11PM.

All neighborhoods surrounding the Maple Shade High School and Babe Ruth Ball Field will be posted NO PARKING on one side of the street from 400 PM to 1100 PM.

The fireworks display is at approx. 930 PM.

Please pay attention to and obey the directions of Police Officers, FIre Police Officers, and Town Watch Volunteers, and also pay attention and obey all permanent and temporary traffic control devices and NO PARKING signs. Vehicles parked in NO PARKING areas may be ticketed and may be towed.

There are handicap parking spaces available in the MSHS parking lot off of South Clinton Avenue. But the amount of spaces are very limited and they will be available only until they are all filled.

Parking in the area for the event is limited and all that live in the area are encouraged to walk, bicycle, or carpool. Parking is available at the municipal parking lots adjacent to Main Street, and it is a short walk from there to MSHS.

No alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Please call the Maple Shade Civic Activities Committee at 856-779-9610 x175 with any questions at all about the event.

Do not call police emergency lines with event related questions or to ask directions to the event. The police are not the event coordinators and to do so may prevent someone with an emergency from reaching the police for help.

Remember, personal possession and use of many types of fireworks are still illegal in New Jersey. See the attached poster for guidance on what is permitted and what is illegal. Stay safe and legal and leave the fireworks display to the professionals.
