Wildwood Man Found Guilty of Aggravated Assault and Theft

Cape May Court House, New Jersey (May 7, 2018)(CNBNewsnet) - Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announced on Wednesday May 2, 2018 a Cape May County Jury convicted Ronray Harris, a 40 year old male from Wildwood, of Aggravated Assault (second degree) and Theft from a Person (third degree).

On February 23, 2017, Harris stabbed another individual and committed a theft at the Wildwood Bus Terminal. A joint investigation was conducted by members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.

The Honorable Sarah Beth Johnson presided over the matter and sentencing is scheduled for June 15, 2018. Due to the charges and Harris’s criminal history, he faces a maximum of twenty years in New Jersey State Prison with an eighty-five percent parole disqualifier.

Prosecutor Sutherland stated that his office will continue to work hand in hand with the local municipalities to aggressively investigate violent crimes within the County and he would like to recognize the investigative efforts of the officers and detectives involved in this investigation along with Assistant Prosecutor Alex Settle who prosecuted this case.
