Waterfront Festival

The Waterfront Festival runs from Friday through Monday from 11AM - 7PM with additional programming on Friday and Saturday night. While you're here, enjoy:

  • Movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and Finding Nemo

Music and Fireworks

Lower Merion Jazz Band, Friday, May 25, 7:30 – 9pm: Conducted by professional saxophonist and recording artist Andrew Neu, the Lower Merion High School Jazz Band is renowned in the area for its lush sound, clean tempos, tight playing, and brilliant soloists. The band will be playing a diverse range of their greatest hits, including Neu arrangements of music from the Jackson Five, War (The World is a Ghetto), and Live Aid Philly.

U.S. Airforce (USAF) Band – Full Spectrum, Saturday, May 26, 7:30 – 8:45pm: This six-piece high energy “pop & hip-hop” band out of the USAF Heritage of America Band, is a dynamic group of Active Duty musicians who are assembled from areas throughout the U.S. 

Delaware River Waterfront Fireworks, Saturday, May 26, 9:00pm: The first of three spectacular fireworks shows this summer over the Delaware River.


Maritime Village

Jugglers, stilt walkers, and magicians will entertain festival-goers throughout the holiday weekend. Even the youngest crew members can enjoy face painting, carnival booth games, waterfront safety lessons from a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary group, and get a few seafaring pointers from SailTime Philadelphia.
 

Food and Beverages 

Celebrate tall ships with SEAFOOD! Beck's Cajun Cafe will be serving Gator on a Stick, Fried Shrimp & Cornmeal Crusted Catfish Po’Boys, and Fried Mac n' Cheese topped with crab meat. Chickie's and Pete's will be serving up items from their famous "From the Sea" menu including Snowcrab legs and Peel-and-Eat Shrimp. The Sail Philadelphia Beer Garden will be serving a variety of beers to make sipping by the river a breeze. 


Getting Here

Parking is very limited at Penn’s Landing, so public transportation (including RiverLink Ferry, SEPTA, PATCO, and PHLASH) is encouraged. For additional information visit the Parking & Directions page. Festival entrances are located off Columbus Blvd. at Walnut St., Market St., and at the Chestnut St. entrance (via ramp or stairs).
