Middle Township Resident Daniel Osmundsen Pleads Guilty to Liability for Drug Induced Death

Cape May Court House, New Jersey (CNBNewsnet)(May 18, 2018)-- Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announces a guilty plea in Superior Court today by Daniel Osmundsen to 1st Degree Strict Liability for Drug Induced Death.

Osmundsen, a 26 year old resident of Country Acres Drive in Middle Township, was charged on October 25, 2017 with (1) count of 1st Degree Strict Liability for Drug Induced Death, (2) counts of 3rd Degree Possession with intent to Distribute CDS, and (2) counts of 3rd Degree Possession of CDS.

These charges were the result of a joint investigation into the death of 23 year old Sonny Sinnerard by Detectives from the Prosecutor's Office and the Middle Township Police Department.

The Honorable Michael J. Donohue presided over the matter and sentencing is scheduled for September 14, 2018.

Prosecutor Sutherland stated that his office will continue to work hand in hand with the local municipalities to aggressively investigate drug induced deaths and all illegal drug related crimes within the County.

Prosecutor Sutherland would also like to recognize the investigative efforts of Detectives involved in this investigation along with Assistant Prosecutor Ed Shim who prosecuted this case.
