GLOUCESTER CITY May 3, 2018 [CNBNewsnet} --On May 1, 2018 at 4:19 pm, Gloucester City Patrolmen Sean Saunders and George Spingler stopped a car on Johnson Blvd. at Paul Street for a traffic violation.
During the course of the stop, Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz were called to the scene to conduct an open air narcotics sniff around the exterior of the car. Before K9 Blitz was deployed, a passenger in the car told the officers he had marijuana in the trunk. A subsequent search of the car resulted in the recovery of just under one pound of marijuana from the trunk.
Robert C. Thiede 3rd. (21), a resident of Deptford, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute and distribution within 500 feet of a public park. He was later released.
