Ed Bowe Sr., Army Veteran, Bellmawr Police Special Officer; Former Gloucester City Resident

BELLMAWR NJ (May 3, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)--Edward M. Bowe Sr., of Bellmawr passed away on  April 29, 2018, at his home surrounded by his wife and family. A former resident of Gloucester City, "Bowie" was 81. 

Ed is the beloved husband of Janet E. (nee Hendry), loving father of Edwina M. Milsted (David), Edward M. Bowe-Hellwig (Gary), Leslie B. Bowe (Paula), and dear brother of Thomas, Michael, Dorothy and the late Jack. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Adam (Eileen), Rebekah (Anthony) and Hannah.

dedicated employee of Adams Wholesalers, an Anderson Window Distributor, in Woodbury Heights, Bud’s Auto in Sewell and had also been a special officer for the Bellmawr Police Dept. for 25 years. Ed was also a member of USS New Jersey Lodge #62 F&AM, the Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620 and the Sportsmen AC.

Ed will always be remembered for his kindness and devotion to his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 426 Monmouth St. in Gloucester City. Ed’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers his family has suggested memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or St. Padre Pio Shrine, c/o Newfield Bank, Attn: Kathy Valla, 18 West Blvd, Newfield, NJ 08344.
