Retail/Commercial blog 42Freeway.com is reporting that according to several people who attended a tenants meeting at Gloucester Premium Outlets, management recently told tenants a Dave and Busters Restaurant and Entertainment Arcade Center is being planned for the Blackwood NJ’s Outlets site. The location will be in the land still available around the property (probably along side Route 42, where the Applebee’s was planned). Development is targeted to start very early in 2019 after this year’s holiday shopping season, with a targeted opening for later in 2019.
Neither outlet owner Simon Properties or Dave and Buster's have made any public announcements, but 42Freeway.com has spoken directly to several people who attended the meeting, and has heard from people in the development industry and other Dave and Buster's stores who have also corroborated the story.
Gloucester Premium Outlets is an 90 store outlet center developed along Route 42 in Blackwood NJ. Dave and Buster's is a national Entertainment Restaurant offering Food, Bar, and a huge array of arcade and ticket-for-prizes games. The large Philadelphia location on Delaware Ave is at risk of being closed in a few years according to Philly.com, as a New York developer has purchased the pier the sit on, and has plans to develop into apartments.
