Eastern District of Pennsylvania PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia man was charged May 24 in connection with armed robberies of convenience stories, announced U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain. Tyrone Evans, 24, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged by indictment with three counts of Hobbs Act robbery and three counts of the use and carrying of a firearm during a crime of violence. Two Wildwood police officers have been reassigned to administrative duty while an investigation is conducted into the arrest of a woman on the beach and a video that shows police punching the woman, the Press of Atlantic City says. The police department said on its Facebook page that the woman was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and other charges.
