Rams Over Hermits 5-2 in Coaches vs Cancer Tournament Held at Mainland High School

LINWOOD, NJ (April 29, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)—Gloucester Catholic, (Gloucester City) faced St. Augustine Prep (Buena Vista Township) today in the Coaches vs Cancer showcase held today at Mainland High School, Linwood, NJ. 

The Rams jumped off to a one-run lead in the first and never looked backed. The Screen Shot 2018-04-29 at 18.39.21Hermits got two runs in the second but were kept off the scoreboard the rest of the game. Gloucester Catholic was hitting the ball throughout the game and in the fourth inning, they loaded the bases but just couldn't get the runners home. The stats showed they left 8 runners on base. 

Rams pitcher Andrew Vail (senior, lefthand) (photo) retired the final 12 and struck out 10 in the 5-2 victory over The Hermits. 

Rams Coach Adam Tussey said after the game, "It feels good to get ourself back on track. Great effort from our entire team today."
