'Billy Boy' Brandt Retired Gloucester City Patrolman; Vietnam War Marine Veteran

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (April 15, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)--Retired Gloucester City Police Officer William A. Brandt on April 3, 2018 at the age of. Cherished son of the late Joseph A. Brandt and Agnes E. Brandt (nee Conroy). Beloved brother of the late Michael J. "Mickey" Brandt and the late Joseph Brandt. Survived by his dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, godson Mason and friends.
Bill was a graduate of Gloucester City High School class of 1964. He proudly served our county in the U.S.M.C. during Vietnam and was a patrolman for 25 years with the Gloucester City Police Department. He retired from that position in November, 1992.
Bill was a longtime member of the Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620 in Gloucester, Brooklawn American Legion Post #72, U.S.M.C. League in Oaklyn and a life member of the State P.B.A Local #40. Known to his friends as "Billy Boy". He was very proud of his Irish heritage, an avid Phillies fan and loved the Jersey Shore.
Relatives, friends and Gloucester City Police Department are kindly invited to his viewing on Friday, April 20th from 10:45 AM to12:45 PM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 1 PM in the church. Interment with U.S.M.C. Honors will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
