CRIME REPORT: Disorderly Women Spits Blood on Gloucester City Police Officers and EMT's

 

Crime report

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (March 30)(CNBNewsnet)--Gloucester City Police and EMT's trying to help a woman in distress found themselves being berated and spat on by the individual. According to the weekly crime report on Friday, March 23, at 4:40PM officers responded to the area of Johnson Blvd. at Morris Street for a female walking down the street bleeding.  Officers found the female on Johnson Blvd. at Chambers Street and the female immediately began screaming and threatening the officers.  The female continued to act in this manner and screamed at the officers to just kill her now.  The female was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and while being escorted to an ambulance for transport to the hospital, she spat blood on one of the officers and two EMT’s attempting to treat her. 

Further investigation determined the female was involved in a vehicle crash in Camden City and had walked away from the scene said the police.  Gina S. Dunn (37), a resident of the 100 block of Harvard Avenue, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.  She was later released.

In other matters, 

 3/23 (3:10 pm) A car stop on Rt. 130 at Market Street conducted by Ptl. Tim Ryder resulted in the arrest of the driver, Tracy L. Cocchi (41), a resident of Gloucester Twp.  She was arrested on a warrant from Washington Twp. and later turned over to Washington Twp. Police.

 

3/23 (4:12 pm) Ptl. Ben McKinney responded to Collings Avenue at Essex Street along with the GCFD for a report of a fire.  The report was unfounded.

 

 

3/24 (9:50 am) Sgt. Jason Flood was responded to Powell Street at 7th. for a crash involving two vehicles.  No injuries were reported.

 

3/24 (1:31 pm) Conrad T. Carney (30), a resident of Collingswood, was arrested at the Budget Motel on Rt. 130 by Ptl. Ben McKinney on warrants from Deptford and Monroe Twp.  He was later released on bail.

 

3/24 (9:26 pm) A car stop on Broadway at King Street conducted by Cpl. Bill Lessig resulted in the arrest of Jaheem L. Burns (30), a resident of Camden.  He was arrested on warrants from Gloucester City, Brooklawn, Camden City, West Deptford and Deptford.  He was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license and later released on bail.

 

3/25 (8:14 pm) A resident of Lane Avenue reported a child’s bicycle was stolen from the front porch of the residence.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

3/26 (10:52 am) A car stop at the Budget Motel on Rt. 130 conducted by Ptl. Shea O’Donnell resulted in the arrest of the driver.  Charles J. McConnell (39), a resident of Oaklyn, was arrested on warrants from Oaklyn and Camden City.  He was later released on bail.

 

3/26 (7:45 pm) A resident of the 300 block of Monmouth Street reported sometime overnight, her car was vandalized while parked in front of her residence. 

 

3/27 (6:15 am) Ptl. Bob Saunders III was called to a residence on Oxford Avenue for a report of a hit and run crash.  The crash was believed to have occurred sometime overnight and the investigation is ongoing.

 

3/27 (9:23 am) A car stop on King Street at Mercer conducted by Ptl. Sean Saunders and Tim Ryder resulted in the arrests of the driver and passenger.  The driver, Jeremy M. Creghan (35), a resident of Sewell, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Russell M. Wood III (29), a resident of Deptford, was charged with possession of CDS (heroin and cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe.  Both were later released.

 

3/27 (9:36 am) A car stop on King Street at Cumberland conducted by Sgt. Ken Iepson and Ptl. Shea O’Donnell resulted in the arrest of a passenger, James H. King Sr. (38), a resident of the 200 block of N. Willow Street.  He was found to be a fugitive from justice wanted by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was later lodged in Camden County Jail.

 

3/27 (2:15 pm) A car stop on Broadway at Ridgeway Street conducted by Det. Keith O’Donnell resulted in the arrest of the driver.  Luke M. Garbin (54), a resident of Blackwood, was arrested on a warrant from Mantua Twp. and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.  He was later turned over to Mantua Twp. Police.

 

3/27 (3:07 pm) Ptl. Bob Saunders III responded to a vacant residence in the 800 block of Cumberland Street for a reported burglary.  Further investigation determined entry had been gained through a basement window and copper piping and wire had been stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

3/27 (3:50 pm) John G. Tufnell (30), a resident of Camden, was arrested on Broadway at Market Street by Ptl. Shea O’Donnell on a warrant from Gloucester City.  He was later released on bail.

 

3/27 (11:12 pm) A car stop on Collings Avenue at Essex Street conducted by Ptl. Blaise O’Donnell and K9 Demo resulted in the arrest of the driver.  Briana N. Becker (19), a resident of the 200 block of Morris Street, was charged with possession of CDS (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was later released.

 

3/28 (9:12 am) William J. Dieterich 4th. (36), currently homeless, was arrested on Burlington Street at Bergen by Ptl. Shea O’Donnell.  He was charged with defiant trespass and possession of CDS (synthetic marijuana) before being released.

 

3/28 (3:00 pm) A resident of Jefferson Avenue reported sometime during the day, her vehicle was vandalized while parked in the parking lot of Gloucester City High School.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

3/28 (10:04 pm) Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz stopped a female on Broadway at King Street due to the fact she was walking down the center of Broadway, obstructing traffic.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Patricia A. Granger (56), a resident of Camden.  She was arrested on warrants from Camden City and Gloucester City and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.   She was later released on bail.

 

3/29 (2:32 pm) Kaila E. Hill (28), a resident of Cedarwood Avenue, was arrested on Market Street at St. Mary Street by Ptl. Shea O’Donnell and Tim Ryder.  She was arrested on warrants from Gloucester City and additionally charged with possession of CDS (heroin).  She was later released on bail.

 

3/29 (6:32 pm) A car stop on Broadway at Essex Street conducted by Ptl. Don Fager III resulted in the arrest of the driver, David L. Zagami (43), a resident of Philadelphia.  He was arrested on a warrant from Palmyra and later released on bail.

 

 

In addition, officers made (43) traffic stops, (354) property/business checks and (13) school visits.  Officers made (16) arrests, responded to (13) domestic disputes, impounded (1) abandoned vehicles and managed (362) calls for service between March 23rd. and March 29th.
