Moorestown Police Investigating Car Burglaries


MOORESTOWN, NJ (January 17, 2018)--Moorestown Police are investigating seven overnight burglaries to unlocked vehicles and two vehicle thefts that occurred throughout the Township.

A vehicle was stolen from the 200 block of Whittier Ave. That vehicle was recovered in the 700 block Lippincott Ave. where another vehicle was stolen from a residence. That vehicle was entered into the national database and subsequently located by Winslow Twp. PD.

Unlocked vehicles were entered at the following locations with varied amounts of currency and personal items stolen:
100 block of Muirfield Ct.
200 block of Hickory Lane (2 vehicles)
100 block of S. Lincoln Ave. (2 vehicles)
Laurel Creek Blvd.
200 block of Whittier Ave.

Avoid becoming a victim following the prevention tips below:
Prevent Car Burglaries--
• Do not leave valuables in plain view:
(GPS devices, lap tops, PDA’s, cell phones, MP3’s, wallets, purses)
• Do not leave windows or sunroof open.
• Do not leave doors unlocked.
• Do not leave keys//and starter FOBs in the vehicle.
• Do not leave the garage door opener in plain view.
• Do not leave items with personal identifiers in plain view.
• Do move valuable items to the trunk while in public view.
