Gloucester Township PD Taking Part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On October 28th, the Gloucester Township Police Department will take part in the 14th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10AM - 2PM

Residents can bring their unused or expired medications to the Gloucester Township Police Watch Desk located at 1261 Chews Landing Road Laurel Springs, NJ 08021

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

The effort to stop the abuse and diversion of prescription drugs begins at home - and must include the opportunity for Gloucester Township residents to dispose of their unused medications safely and securely at any time throughout the year.  The Gloucester Township Police Department wants to remind everyone to "clean out" your unused medications from your medicine cabinet and safely dispose them in one of our drug boxes.

If you are not able to bring your medications on Oct 28th, we would like to remind our residents that you can visit our drug boxes seven days a week. Drop off unneeded and expired medications - and keep them away from those at risk of abusing them.  Our 24 hour a day drug box is located by the Police Department's Watch Desk Area.  A second box is located on the municipal side of the building by the operator entrance.

The drop boxes accept solid pharmaceuticals such as pills, capsules, patches, inhalers, and pet medications. They cannot accept syringes or liquids.
