Children must be taught polite interaction with pets at a young age. If a child is left unsupervised, a tragedy is likely to occur, which will mean a death sentence for the pet.
Many times, a dog will react to being poked, pulled, or otherwise mistreated, by biting or scratching. Although there is never a ‘good’ reason for this behavior, a responsible parent and a responsible pet owner will always supervise child-and-dog interactions to avert a mishap.
Our therapy and service dog programs are in full swing! If you would like your dog to be trained as a therapy dog, emotional support dog, or service dog, give us a call! 856.981.8957.
Wado udohiyu, (thank you very much in the Cherokee language)
