Over the next several years, more than a dozen rest stops on the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike will get a needed facelift, Gov. Chris Christie announced this week. The Record reports that the $250 million cost will be covered as the state extends its contracts with a food service provider HMS Host and Sunoco. Many of the rest stops date to the 1950s.

During an appearance on Wednesday at New Jersey City University, New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez called on the Trump administration not to end DACA, an Obama-era program that protects the children of undocumented immigrants from deportation, NJ.com reported.

A new Rutgers-Eagleton poll out today shows a growing number of residents think the state is heading in the wrong direction and only 16 percent have a favorable opinion of Christie, NJ.com reports.
