BROOKLAWN, NJ (August 1, 2017)(CNBNewsnet)--The Motel 6, located at 801 Crescent Blvd., Brooklawn was the site of eight separate incidents of crime and a drug raid during the month of June according to the Brooklawn Police Department. A total of 11 suspects were charged with a variety of disturbances at that property including but not limited to prostitution, for the distribution of drugs, and for the possession of heroin, crack, marijuana and crystal meth.
6/2/17 An officer stopped a suspicious motor vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot. When the officer approached the vehicle he observed waxed paper, commonly used for packaging heroin. After the male was taken into custody a bag of heroin and a hypodermic needle were located in his possession. The male then provided the officer with a false name. Once back at headquarters the officer was able to properly identify the male. William Joseph Malloy, 36, of Philadelphia was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and hindering. He was released on a summons.
6/2/17 During the course of an investigation of prostitution at the Motel 6, officers arrested two females for active warrants. Tara Racheal Baker, 30, of Collingswood was also found to be in possession of 2 crack pipes, and 2 pink vials commonly used to store CDS. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and remanded to the Camden County Jail on her other warrants. The second female Michele Dawn Surran, 48, of Berlin was also found to have active warrants for her arrest. She was also found to be in possession of 2 bags of heroin, 1 bag of crack, and 1 bag of crystal meth. She was released on her own recognizance.
6/11/17 an officer observed a female who appeared to be unconscious in her motor vehicle that was parked in the Motel 6 parking lot. When he approached the driver’s side window he observed 2 crack pipes on the driver’s side floor. The female who was not unconscious stated that she was just sleeping. Katherine Regina Csaky, 35, of Mantua was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a summons.
6/12/17 Brooklawn Officers along with the Camden County Prosecutors Office and multiple other surrounding police departments conducted a narcotic operation in the area of the Motel 6. During the course of the operation Michael J. Young, 30, of Camden was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Jeremy Benson, 29, of Camden was charged with hindering his own apprehension. Joseph T. Watson, 30, of Sicklerville was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
6/14/17 During the course of a joint investigation with the Camden County Prosecutors Office and a Brooklawn Police Investigator, they conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Motel 6 parking lot. Two males were arrested Takiese Naceer Bethea, 22, of Camden and Nasstassj Milta Hodge-Perez, 22, of Merchantville were charged with Loitering with the purpose to possess or sell drugs, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Both parties were released on summonses.
6/16/17 A Pennsylvania State Trooper contacted the Brooklawn Police in regards to a possible sex trafficking of an underage female at the Motel 6. When the officers responded to the room in question it was determined that the female in question was not underage. Through further investigation, the female was found to have active warrants for her arrest. Also located in the room were hypodermic needles, numerous pieces of wax paper, and three crack pipes. Alexis Leigh Noel, 27, of Bellmawr was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
6/17/17 While on a plain clothes detail at the Motel 6 an officer observed a female smoking marijuana outside of her room. She provided the officer with false information regarding her identity. Kristin Nicole Bookman, 28, of Woodlynne was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and hindering. She was released on a summons.
6/21/17 During the course of an investigation of narcotics use in one of the rooms at the Motel 6, officers located a Tyler Ryan Price, 23, of National Park and Rose Marie Lohman, 23, of National Park. Lohman and Ryan were found to have active warrants for their arrest. Also when the officers entered the room officers observed numerous empty pieces of wax paper all over the room. Once both parties were under arrest officers located 3 bags of heroin which Price admitted ownership too. Price was charged possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. Lohman was charged with drug paraphernalia. Both were remanded to the Camden County Jail.
IN other matters,
6/13/17 Alexander Devon Collazo, 22, of Camden was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. The officer detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle. The accused turned over one jar of marijuana from the center console. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released on a summons.
6/15/17 A vehicle was burglarized in the 200 block of Browning Lane. Brooklawn Investigator was able to obtain video surveillance from multiple businesses where the victim’s credit cards were used. The suspect was positively identified. The suspect was located and brought to police headquarters for questioning. Quinn Robert May, 18, of Westville admitted to the burglary of the vehicle and using the victim’s credit card at numerous stores in the area. He was charged with burglary, theft, and theft of credit cards. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
6/15/17 Tabatha Marie Torres, 37, of Bellmawr was arrested by Bellmawr Police on an outstanding warrant out of Brooklawn. She was turned over to Brooklawn Police and processed for receiving stolen property from 6/6/17 where she sold items at the Brooklawn Swap Shop that she knew were stolen. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
6/17/17 Samantha Ann Parkinson, 22, of Brooklawn was arrested for theft after an investigation by Shoprite. The accused who was an employee was found to have taken items valued at $30.00 and $18.00. The accused was also found to have an active warrant. She was charged with theft and turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriffs Department to be remanded to the Salem County Jail.
6/18/17 During the course of a suspicious motor vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot officers arrested Christina Michelle Giordano, 24, of Sewell. The accused was found to be a wanted person out of Bucks County Pennsylvania. The accused was also found to be in possession of 21 vials of crack cocaine, 3 bags, of heroin, 4 crack pipes. She was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a fugitive from justice. She was remanded to the Camden County Jail to be transported to Bucks County.
6/20/17 After responding to the Dollar Tree for a report of a shoplifting, officers located the suspect in the area of Railroad Ave and Browning Ln. Corey Patrick Bland, 29, of Brooklawn was charged with shoplifting after officers located a Shoprite bag containing stolen items from the Dollar Tree. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
6/24/17 Rashan Dwayne Jefferson, 35, of Paulsboro was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on the 600 block of New Broadway. During the stop the officer observed a suboxone film on the passenger’s seat of the vehicle, the suspect did not have a script for the film and was placed under arrest. He was charged with possession of CDS and released on a summons.
6/24/17 Officers were called to the Brooklawn Norse Apartments in the 400 block area for a disturbance. Jovan Michel Matthews, 32, of Brooklawn was told numerous times to go back into her apartment and to stop shouting profanities. She decided not to comply with the officers orders and was arrested. She was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a summons.
6/25/17 While on patrol in the area of Verchio’s Produce early in the morning an officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle began to drive away as he saw the officer’s vehicle. The officer observed several potted plants stacked in the passenger’s seat of the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. Once the officer activated his lights the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. After a brief pursuit the officer terminated following the vehicle once he had obtained the vehicle’s registration. With the stores surveillance footage and the vehicle’s registration a warrant was issued for Sean Anthony Pavlichko, 31, of Cinnaminson. On 7/5/17 Cinnaminson Police arrested the suspect on those warrants. He was turned over to Brooklawn Police where he was charged with Eluding, Theft and numerous driving summonses. He was then turned over to the Camden County Police Department for a no bail warrant out of their jurisdiction.
6/28/17 Officers were called out to the Brooklawn Shopping Center for a male and a female doing heroin in the parking lot. The officer located the vehicle traveling on King’s Highway and was stopped by the officer. Marcellus Dante Weeks, 24, of Mullica Hill and Fawn Leeann Conover, 26, of Mullica Hill admitted to using heroin in the parking lot. The officer located a hypodermic needle in the center console and both admitted possession. They were both charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and released on a summons.
6/28/17 Robert Raymond Haban, 43, of Woodbury was stopped for violation on his bicycle in the area of Rt. 130 and Browning Ln. He was found to be wanted out of the Camden County Sheriff’s Department. After he was placed under arrest a search of his person revealed two hypodermic needles and 5 bags of heroin. He was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of CDS. He was turned over to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department to be remanded to the Camden County Jail.
6/29/17 An officer responded to the Rite Aid for a possible shoplifting. Once one scene the met the suspect Christopher Michael Baker, 34, of Pemberton who was found to have conceal items from the store. After he was placed under arrest officer’s located 2 bags of heroin and 2 vials of cocaine on his person. He was charged with shoplifting and 2 counts of possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.
6/30/17 An officer was flagged down about a suspicious male in the area of North Wilson Ave. As the officer turned the corner onto the street he observed a vehicle accelerate and strike a pedestrian. The suspect then fled the scene even after the officer activated his lights to conduct a motor vehicle stop. After a brief pursuit the vehicle pulled over and the driver who was ordered on the ground began to resist the officers. He was taken into custody without further incident. James J. Mcardle III, 34, of Wenonah was charged with Eluding, Assault by Auto, resisting arrest, and issued numerous motor vehicle summonses and released.
6/30/17 Kyron Roman Cotton, 25, of Camden was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. The accused first provided the officer with a false identity. He was placed under arrest and found to have numerous active warrants. He was charged with hindering and remanded to the Camden County Jail.
