Harry J. Blymer, Longtime Member of Gloucester City American Legion Post 135 and VFW Post 72

Mr. Harry J. Blymer, Jr., of Deptford, NJ died suddenly on Saturday, July 8, Images2017. A former resident of Gloucester City, Mr. Blymer was 79 years old. 

Harry proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in Germany. He retired from Elevator Union Local 5 in Philadelphia. Harry was a longtime member of the Gloucester City American Legion Post 135 and Townsend C. Young VFW Post 72.

Loving husband of Judith Redrow Blymer (nee Beckett). Beloved brother of James Blymer (Maryann), Cathy Fritz, Barbara Ridge and the late William Ridge. Cherished uncle of Jeanette Dembinski (Matt) and James Blymer (Kellie). Beloved step-father of William Redrow (Gina), Robert Redrow (Pamela), Lawrence Redrow (Michele) and Michael Redrow. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and members of the Blymer and Redrow families.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday morning, July 14, 2017 from 9 to 10:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Gloucester City. Interment with Military Honors at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Twp.
