Voros Plumbing and Heating Endorses Sweeney
Wednesday, May 31, 2017
When my husband John and I opened Voros Plumbing and Heating over 44 years ago, we knew we were taking a risk. Like so many other family-owned small businesses, we were simply trying to make ends meet and build something we could leave for our children. We worked hard, saved enough to retire and kept the business in the family.
Thanks to Senator Steve Sweeney’s leadership, we’re confident that our company here in Elmer – and family-owned businesses throughout South Jersey, will continue to thrive. No one has been a more dedicated friend to small businesses and seniors than Steve. He fought for tax incentives enabling small and medium-sized businesses to create good-paying jobs. And he’s been a catalyst for an economic development boom in our region that improved the bottom line of small businesses.
Steve’s work on behalf of seniors has touched us all in ways large and small. He led efforts in Trenton to create better, more accessible senior retirement savings plans and to ensure our access to Medicare benefits. He has also fought for significant tax relief for seniors that has kept our state income taxes low and provided property-tax relief. For those and other initiatives, Steve was honored by the AARP.
And while this may seem like a simple thing, it’s important: Steve is always there when you need him. A public servant who truly puts his constituents first, his door is always open – and no question or concern is too small for him to address.
Like John and I nearly a half-century ago, young families across South Jersey entertain hopes of starting a small business and eventually enjoying a secure, dignified retirement. With Steve representing us in Trenton, those hopes are more certain to become reality. That’s why we enthusiastically urge you to join us in supporting Steve Sweeney’s reelection to the State Senate. Join us now. >>
Sincerely,
Joan Voros
