Girls Weekend features hotel and bed-and-breakfast packages, dining offers, shopping discounts, a fashion show, prizes, yoga and wellness classes, craft projects and demonstrations at various locations throughout Ocean City. The event provides a good reason to escape to the shore early in the season and to see what Ocean City’s downtown retail district has to offer.
The weekend actually begins at 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, with a Fashion Show that features the men of Ocean City walking the runway. Last year’s inaugural event was both a riot and a sellout, so get your tickets ($20) while they last. They are available by calling (609) 399-1412 or by visiting the City Hall Welcome Center (Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue), the Roy Gillian Welcome Center (on the Route 52 causeway), 7th Street Surf Shop, Ta-Dah (1040 Asbury Ave. location) or The Sneaker Shop (704 Asbury Avenue).
