March 17 (11:00 am) Stephen W. Ferrell (41), a resident of the 400 block of Middlesex Street, was arrested in the 200 block of Bergen St. by Captain Mike Morrell.  He was charged with being under the influence of CDS and was transported to an area hospital for treatment after processing.

March 19 (7:21 pm) A resident of Oriental Avenue reported her bicycle was stolen from the front of the residence at 81 Elmwood Avenue.  The investigation is ongoing.

March 20 (7:31 pm) A Brooklawn resident reported her unlocked vehicle was burglarized while parked in the parking lot of Elizabeth’s Ballroom on Klemm Avenue.  Personal items were reported stolen.

March 21 (10:13 am) An officer responded to a vacant residence in the 600 block of Powell Street for a reported burglary.  Further investigation determined a quantity of copper piping was stolen from the basement.  The investigation is ongoing.

March 21 (1:52 pm) Ryan A. Ellis (34), a resident of Vineland, was arrested in the 300 block of Cumberland by Sgt. Jason Flood on a warrant from Audubon.  After processing, he was released on bail.

March 21 (4:21 pm) Stephen W. Ferrell (41), a resident of the 400 block of Middlesex Street, was arrested on N. Broadway at Morris Street by Ptl. Sean Saunders on warrants from Gloucester City.  After processing, he was remanded to Camden County Jail.

March 21 (5:54 pm) Thomas J. Boychuck Jr. (29), a resident of Williamstown, was arrested on Brown Street at Middlesex by Det. Keith O’Donnell.  He was charged with possession of CDS (crack cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.  After processing, he was released.

March 21 (6:10 pm) Officers responded to the Lucky 7 convenience store on Broadway at George Street for a reported fight between two females.  Upon arrival, there was no fight in progress and both parties left the area without further police involvement.

March 21 (8:39 pm) While on patrol. Sgt. Ken Iepson and Ptl. Sean Saunders observed John T. Bongiovanni Jr. (39), a resident of Brooklawn, exit a N.J. Transit bus on Market Street at the Railroad.  Having knowledge that Bongiovanni was a fugitive from justice wanted by the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, they moved to approach him.  Upon seeing the officers, Bongiovanni fled on foot along the railroad tracks and was unable to be located.  On March 22 at 5:49 pm, Ptl. Sean Saunders and Ptl. Shea O’Donnell observed Bongiovanni operating a vehicle on Rt. 130 at Market Street.  A traffic stop was conducted and Bongiovanni was arrested without incident.  He was charged with resisting arrest and defiant trespass for the incident on the 21^st. and remanded to Camden County Jail on the outstanding fugitive warrants.

March 21 (11:40 pm) Sgt. Bill Eller responded to the 300 block of Essex Street for a report of a male lying in the street unconscious and not breathing.  Sgt. Eller and EMS administered one dose of Naloxone each and the (26) year old resident of the 400 block of Market Street regained consciousness.  He was then transported to an area hospital for further treatment.

March 22 (2:55 pm) A traffic stop on Middlesex Street at King Street conducted by DSgt. Carl DePoder resulted in the arrests of the following individuals:  Kelly A. Hemphill (54), a resident of National Park was arrested on a warrant from Camden City.  She was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license.  Grace Gaughan (37), a resident of the 300 block of Hudson Street, was arrested on a warrant from Camden City.  Peter M. Hennessy (38), a resident of National Park, was arrested on a warrant from Camden City.  All three were released on bail after processing.

March 22 (4:15 pm) Gabrielle S. Berki (20), a resident of S. Railroad Avenue, was arrested on E. Brown Street at Kathryn Street by Ptl. Mike Calzonetti and K9 Blitz on warrants from Camden City.  After processing, she was released on bail.

March 22 (7:35 pm) Magdi Youssef (63), a resident of New York, was arrested on Collings Avenue at Essex Street on a warrant from Hackensack.  He was released on bail after processing.

March 23 (11:30 am) Bennie L. Smart (45), a resident of Franklin Twp. was arrested on Broadway at Powell Street by Cpl. Bill Lessig due to the fact he was a fugitive from justice wanted in Gloucester and Camden counties.  After processing, he was remanded to Camden County Jail.

March 23 (2:21 pm) William J Hagan Jr. (38), a resident of St. John Street, was arrested on N. Broadway at Morris Street by Det. Keith O'Donnell due to the fact he was a fugitive from justice wanted in Gloucester County.  He was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license and turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff's Department after processing.

March 24 (2:08 am) Officers responded to Cheerleaders on Rt. 130 for a report of two females fighting in the dressing room.  Upon arrival, it was determined that female #1 had been assaulted by female #2 because she admittedly used female #2’s lotion without permission, because her knees were ashy.  Neither female wished to pursue criminal charges.

In addition, officers conducted (79) traffic stops, (348) property/business checks and (17) school visits.  Officers made (17) arrests, investigated (11) motor vehicle crashes, (14) domestic disputes and impounded (2) abandoned vehicles.  Officers issued (10) criminal charges, (26) traffic citations and managed (381) calls for service between March 17^th. and March 23^rd.
