TRAVEL ALERT: ST. PATRICK’S PARADE PARKING RESTRICTIONS

 

FEBRUARY 27, 2017 --The Gloucester City Police Department released the Speeding_ticket_2following information regarding parking on Sunday, March 5, the day of the St. Patrick's Parade.

The St. Patrick’s Parade on Sunday, March 5th. will begin at 1:00 pm at Johnson Blvd. at Baynes Avenue.  The parade will travel north on Johnson Blvd. to Monmouth Street where it will then proceed west on Monmouth Street to King Street.  The parade will then travel south on King Street to Proprietor’s Park.  Below is a list of streets where parking will be prohibited between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm:

 

Monmouth St. between Johnson Blvd. and King St. (parking in the 400 block of Monmouth St. will be permitted to accommodate church parking for 11:30 am mass but all vehicles must be removed by 12:30 pm)

 

Johnson Blvd.  between Monmouth St. and Baynes Ave.

Highland Blvd. between Baynes Ave. and Greenwood Ave.

Klemm Ave. between Baynes Ave. and Rosalind Ave.

King St. between Monmouth St. and Jersey Ave.

 

Parking will be permitted in the parking lot of the sports complex on Johnson Blvd. at Nicholson Road.  We recommend that residents walk to the parade route if at all possible, as parking will be limited in these areas.
