HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. - A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was fatally shot Friday night in Huntingdon County by a suspect killed Saturday morning during a confrontation with law enforcement officers, authorities said.

The shooting that took the life of Trooper Landon Weaver happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday at a home on Bakers Hollow Road in Juniata Township, which is about 120 miles east of Pittsburgh. State police said Weaver was called to the home for a protection from abuse order violation.
