WOODBURY NJ--David C. Thomas, age 41, of Glassboro NJ was found guilty January 25 of first-degree aggravated sexual assault on an 83-year-old woman in her Glassboro apartment on July 23, 2015. A jury that deliberated about five hours also found Thomas guilty of simple assault but not guilty of aggravated assault, criminal sexual contact, terroristic threats or aggravated sexual assault with force or coercion. Bertha was born on May 16, 1914, the fifth child of Charles and Bertha Helmrich (nee Nitz). She grew up in Camden, NJ and graduated from Cooper Hospital School of Nursing in 1935. After marrying George H. Hand they moved to Audubon, NJ. Bertha worked as a health educator and school nurse for Audubon schools from 1957-1976. Christie Administration Awards Virtua $290,000 to Serve Veterans Via Telehealth

press release January 27, 2017 The New Jersey Department of Health today announced a $290,000 telehealth grant to Virtua Health that will assist veterans who need access to primary and behavioral healthcare services but may face mobility or transportation challenges. Every year police departments are chosen from Target to receive electronic equipment through their Target and Blue Electronic Donation Program. TWO YEAR INVESTIGATION OF ATLANTIC CITY MURDER ENDS WITH THE ARREST OF A SUSPECT

ATLANTIC CITY – An Atlantic City man was charged and arrested yesterday for the 2014 killing in Atlantic City of a 22-year-old Absecon man, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton announced. On Dec. 22, 2014, at 7:47 p.m., Atlantic City Police responded to the 1200 block of Adriatic Avenue in response for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival police found a man dead, the apparent victim of a shooting. The victim was identified as Kenneth Sandoz, 22, of Absecon, NJ.
