Frances Mary Canning “Fran”, of Gloucester City, Longtime Employee of Dr. Charles Brennan

 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, at 11 AM at 6a00d8341bf7d953ef015432f38cad970c-320wiSt. Mary's R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City for Frances Mary Canning "Fran", of Gloucester City who passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016, at her home. Viewing from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM.

Fran attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and Gloucester Catholic High School. She worked at St. Mary’s Rectory in her younger years, and was later employed by Dr. Charles Brennan for 34 years before retiring in 1995. Fran was a very giving person to everyone whether they were sick or healthy. She had a very good sense of humor.

Born and raised in Gloucester City she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Byrne) Harvey. Beloved wife of 55 years to Joseph “Ron” Canning, loving mother of  Ronnie, Jr. and Pamela J. Gettings, brother of Bill Harvey, Joan Stone, Jean Borman and Robert Harvey, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Marie Quinn.
