Saint Helena School Will Hold Memorial Service to Honor Children Who Died From Cancer

PHILADELPHIA PA--Saint Helena School in Blue Bell (Montgomery County) will hold a memorial service on Friday, November 18, 2016 in honor of three children from the parish community who have passed away from childhood cancer over the last ten years.

In addition to this service, 554 students in grades Pre-K through 8th will also participate in the Chubby Checker Twist Challenge, a challenge to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Students will twist for 36 seconds in honor of the 36 children who are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. every day. Students will be twisting with mascot Jurdy, the Hero of Happy-ness.

 

This campaign helps raise funds for children and their families for medical research, family assistance, patient advocacy and hospital visits. All proceeds benefit the non-profit organization, Mascots for a Cure.
