MAPLE SHADE POLICE ARRESTS DIVERSION BURGLAR IN CONNECTION

WITH INVESTIGATION OF FOUR DIFFERENT VICTIMS IN MAPLE SHADE



MAPLE SHADE N.J. (November 25, 2016)--Chief Gary C. Gubbei announced today that the Maple Shade Police Department has made an arrest in the case of the four diversion burglaries that occurred between 8/28/16 and 9/6/16 of this year. Chief Gubbei previously released information about the investigation of these four diversion burglaries in a news release dated September 9, 2016.



On Friday November 4, 2016 the Maple Shade Police Department arrested John J. MacMinn, 50, of Gloucester Township and charged him with four counts of Burglary and three counts of Theft in connection with the August/September 2016 crimes. MacMinn was lodged in the Burlington County Jail on default of $40,000 bail.


This investigation involved combined efforts from Beverly PD, Burlington City PD, Collingswood PD, Delaware River Port Authority PD, Deptford PD, Gloucester Twp. PD, MAGLOCLEN, NJSP RTCC South, and Pennsauken PD. Additional criminal charges have either already been filed, or will be filed against MacMinn by some of the cooperating Police agencies for multiple similar crimes that occurred within their respective jurisdictions during the period of August to September 2016.

Talk with your elderly family members and neighbors and make sure that they know what to do when strangers come to the door, and make sure they have not been the victims of any type of crime. Remember all legitimate solicitors should be wearing a solicitor permit on a lanyard issued by the Maple Shade Police Department. Ask to see it, and if they do not have one call the Police immediately.
