PHILADELPHIA, PA -- More than 30 large boxes of non-perishable food items were donated to the South Jersey Food Bank (SJFB) at a recent leadership outing held at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center. SJFB Chief Development Officer Tom Sims (left) is shown here with Kennedy Health President & CEO Joseph W. Devine, who made the presentation to SJFB, Kennedy’s Charity of Choice. The food will be distributed to South Jersey residents in need, including patients of Kennedy Health’s top-rated Home Health Care department. Nearly 100 Kennedy corporate leaders attended the late October team-building challenge as part of the leadership outing; at 2015’s event, these Kennedy managers built and donated wheelchairs to veterans. In summer 2016, more than 200 Kennedy managers and associates volunteered at the SJFB’s Pennsauken headquarters, preparing meals for its summer program.

“We are honored to give back to a non-profit organization we know cares about the community’s well-being with the same level of commitment as we do at Kennedy,” Devine said. “It is deeply gratifying to make a difference in our community members’ lives through this donation.”
