Gloucester Terminal is spending over $2 million to upgrade the security at its site on the Delaware River in Gloucester City NJ. In the first phase of the project a existing chain link fencing will be replaced with
new fencing and new pole mounted lighting will be installed. In the second phase high definition security cameras will be put in place. Some of the money for the upgrades is coming from the Home Land Port Security Grant Program.Leo Holt, president of the local marine terminal said over $60 million was spent in 2010-2011 on improvements at the Gloucester City Terminal which included the construction of the largest solar panel project in North America.
