Cape May County Authorities Arrest Two on Weapon and CDS Possession

Cape May Court House, October 25, 2016 – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner announce the arrests of Andrew Dagostions Jr., 34, of Green Creek and Samuel Fazen, 41, of the Villas.

On October 23, 2016, at approximately 9:30pm, Patrolman Brain Murphy conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Woodcock lane in the Dias Creek section of Middle Township. During the motor vehicle stop officers observed a weapon inside the vehicle and as a result both were placed under arrest for weapon possession and possession of methamphetamine. The vehicle was impounded and a court authorized search warrant was obtained for the vehicle.

Members of the Cape May County Prosecutors Office, the Middle Township Police Department , the Cape May County Hazmat team, the New Jersey State Police and the DEA assisted in the execution of the search warrant which resulted in the recovery of over two ounces of methamphetamine, an amount of heroin and two additional weapons, one being a sawed off shot gun.

As a result the following charges were lodged against both with bail set by Judge Garrabrant. Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, 2nd degree.
Possession of Methamphetamine, 3rd degree.
Possession of a firearm (3 counts), 3rd degree.

Possession of a sawed off shotgun, 3rd degree. nd Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, 2 degree. Possession of a weapon during a CDS offense, 2nd degree.

Dagostino Jr. was additionally charged with Certain persons not to possess a weapon, 2nd degree, possession of heroin, 3rd degree and lodged in the county jail in lieu of $250,000 full cash.
Fazen was lodged in the county jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail.

Persons convicted of 2nd degree offense are subjected to term of 5 to 10 years in state prison and persons convicted of 3rd degree are subject to a term of 3 to 5 years.

Prosecutor Robert Taylor stated that the county has had a recent increase of methamphetamine arrests and wants to warn the public about this trend which brings about very dangerous clandestine labs used to manufacture methamphetamine.
