Wayne Peters Sr., of Gloucester City; Korean War Veteran, VFW and American Legion Member

Wayne Peters, Sr. , age 83, of Gloucester City, N.J. passed away on August 27, 2016. 

 Wayne was born in Philadelphia, PA and proudly served our Country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Townsend C. Young VFW Post # 3620, Gloucester City American Legion Post #135, Disabled American Veterans Westmont Chapter 4, AMVETS Post #101 in Delair and member of Marine Corps League. Wayne was a bowler, darts, played shuffle board, pool and enjoyed cooking. He enjoyed listening to music and watching the ships on the Delaware River from his apartment in Gloucester City. Wayne truly enjoyed living his life in his own way to the fullest! 

Devoted father of Christine Peters, Diane Peters, Wayne Peters, Jr and the late Dawn Peters. Beloved brother of Joan Peters, Phyllis Nonamaker. Predeceased by his siblings: Walter “Bud”, John “Jack”, Russell “Russ”, Frank “Tito”, Mary Pearl, Joann Campbell, Doris Balm. Dear Brother-In-Law of Alberta “Bert” Peters and Margaret “Sue” Peters. Beloved companion of Judy Lehner. Devoted grandfather of 7, great-grandfather of 24 6a00d8341bf7d953ef01bb08de630a970d-200wiand uncle to 17. 

At Wayne’s request, cremation private and there will be no services.
